Birthstone Challenge #8 Peridot: green drops water marble

A very late entry for the Birthstone Challenge this month. August's birthstone is the peridot, a yellowish-green gemstone that was called "gem of the sun" by the Egyptians. Peridot crystals have also been found in meteorites! People believed this stone could protect from evil spirits and that it possessed healing, calming properties.

As I didn't have any nail polish that could resemble the gem's colors, I picked three shades of green: KIKO Cosmetics 297 Acid Green, 533 Pearly Golden Green, and Quick Dry 852 Chartreuse, and I created a water marble hoping the colors would mix well in the water. I made them work.
Non avendo alcuno smalto che imitasse i colori del peridot, ho scelto tre colori KIKO Cosmetics: 297 Verde Acido, 533 Verde Dorato Perlato, e Quick Dry 852 Chartreuse, e con questi ho creato un disegno water marble sperando che i colori si mescolassero bene nell'acqua. Li ho fatti funzionare.

Since I didn't like the almost white base of pinkie, ring, and middle finger, I added some green holographic loose glitter, which really resembled peridot in real life. My camera flattened it out. The combination was kind of nice. Overall I'm really happy with how this look really came together.
