Pupa Gummy Matt 001 Apricot: swatches and review

The new Pupa Sporty Chic collection has been out for a few weeks now and I had been itching to get my hands on the new Gummy Matt nail polishes ever since I saw the press release pictures. It was hard to pick just one as I'm a big sucker for Spring colors, but I settled on 001 Apricot.

Da quando sono uscite le prime foto della nuova collezione Sporty Chic di Pupa ho saputo che avrei provato una delle quattro nuove tonalità primaverili degli smalti Gummy Matt. Scegliere un colore solo è stato difficile fa alla fine ho optato per 001 Apricot.

001 Apricot is smooth and easy to apply but needs three coats for full opacity and somehow the ridges on my nails still showed. In the morning there were a few impressions of bed sheets. The satin finish wears off a bit after a few days, as shown in the photos below which were taken on day three. The formula is very long lasting and I wore this color for five full days without a hint of tip wear.

001 Apricot è uno smalto è fluido e facile da stendere ma richiede tre passate per una buona coprenza, e evidenzia le irregolarità dell'unghia. La mattina ho trovato leggeri segni delle lenzuola. Il finish satinato diventa più lucido con il passare dei giorni, come vedrete nelle foto scattate il terzo giorno. A parte qualche piccolo segno, lo smalto è rimasto tale e quale fino al quinto giorno.

I'm quite torn on these polishes because, even though I like the colors and the long-lasting formula, the opacity isn't good enough and it can be troublesome if your nail beds have many ridges. I was hoping Pupa had made some changes to the formula but it wasn't the case. Too bad because I really like the spring colors of the collection.
Sono abbastanza cobattuta su questi smalti perché, anche se i colori e la formula a lunga durata mi piacciono, la coprenza non è sufficiente e ciò può essere un problema per chi ha una superficie dell'unghia molto irregolare. Speravo che Pupa avesse fatto qualche modifica alla formula ma non è stato così. Peccato davvero perché i colori della collezione mi piacciono molto.
