New Years' Eve nails: black and glitter, and matte

Today I have some New Years' Eve nails to share with you. Last year I was so swamped with food preparations that I didn't even have time to paint my nails. So this year I want to do at least two nail arts. The first one is a simple tape design in black and silvery gold, both shiny and matte.
Oggi ho una bella nail art per Capodanno da mostrarvi. L'anno scorso ero così impegnata con i preparativi che non ho avuto nemmeno il tempo di mettere lo smalto. Ergo quest'anno voglio creare almeno due nail art. La prima è una tape manicure in nero e oro freddo, sia lucida che opaca. 

The design was inspired by Allison and the accent was inspired by a picture on Pinterest which you can find here at FabFashionFix The base is two coats of China Glaze - I'm Not Lion and the black is Kiko. Plus China Glaze -Matte Magic.

Just because I like to complicate things, instead of doing the black first and the glitter afterwards, I applied the glitter polish first and the tape didn't stick to it very well. Which means... some freehand practice for me.

Which version do you like better? Matte or glossy? It's always a tough one, but this time I choose glossy.
